| The Health Functional unit established under the Punjab local council service (Appointment and condition of service) Rules 1983 is hereby declared dying cadre. All EDOS shall be designated as CEOs of (DHA) the personal staff of the EDO will continue to work with them in the new position. The Post of DOH shall be re-designated as DHO Preventive and all DDOH working at tehsil level will be re-designated as DDHO preventive services. The Post of DO(HQ) where available shall be re-designated DHO (HR & MIS). The Office superintendent, Administration officers, transport officer, IT Cell, Statical officers and all support staff present at EDO office will now work under him. DHO Medical Services as in most District DS (Medical Services) or equivalent in nonexistent and majority of responsibilities to the assigned to this office are being performed by existing EDOs and APMO or SMO with necessary qualification and how is otherwise eligible for such post shall be assigned the duties of DHO Medical Services. | |
